House Bill 4710 is now Public Act 140!

THANK YOU!

With the passage of HB 4710, Michigan now becomes the 47th state in the US to recognize the potential and promise of acupuncture for the citizens within its borders.

PA 140 (2019) adopts national standards of training and certification as a basis for practicing as a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in the state, which brings Michigan up to par with our neighbors and the rest of the country.

Safer, more effective, and more widely available acupuncture services will result!

Long story short… Now that this is a public act our Michigan committee of acupuncturists will be working to make insurance billing easier. We hope that they should have their guidelines finished by the end of the year!!
